In addition to
presenting the best of live theater in Baltimore,
Hippodrome Foundation, Inc. (HFI) is committed to providing access to
the Hippodrome - and all of its assets - to people who live in and
visit Maryland
by providing free outreach and education programs in the community.
Board members and staff work to provide programs that provide
opportunities for students of all ages that make a difference in their
lives - whether as a Camp
Hippodrome
camper, as a Young Critic reviewing shows, a student attending one of
our free matinees or as a dancer from Baltimore School for
the Arts participating in a master class. HFI has provided services to
thousands of people since the re-opening of the Hippodrome on February
10, 2004.
THANK
YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT!!!
On
behalf of the Board of Hippodrome Foundation, Inc., special thanks to Mr. John
Gudelsky and the Board of Directors of The Homer and Martha Gudelsky Family
Foundation, Inc. for supporting 2011 Camp Hippodrome.
More than 250 students attended camp at
the Hippodrome and without the foundation’s support, this positive experience
would not have been possible.
On April 9,
2011, HFI held its inaugural benefit concert – Frankie Valli and the Four
Seasons - we raised over $70,000 to benefit free outreach and
education programs for the Maryland
community. “Oh What a Night” it was! Thanks to all who helped to make the
night a success and special thanks to sponsors – M&T Bank (Marquee
Sponsor), Cassidy Turley & Venable LLP (Benefactor Sponsors) and CareFirst,
Greater Baltimore Committee, IWIF & Jackson Lewis (Friends of HFI).
HFI is looking forward to the 2011/2012 Season….helping more people in our
community understand and appreciate live theater. It’s never too late to
get involved – contact HFI to learn how.
