CAMP HIPPODROME is a free program that provides middle and high school students the opportunity to receive professional instruction during the summer at the Hippodrome Theatre. During otherwise idle months, HFI engages 500+ Baltimore youth with workshops on theater, music, dance, make up and more. During summer 2023, HFI plans to host two 1-week camps and multiple field trip opportunities for community organizations and partners.
HFI also provides a summer program for senior citizens from Baltimore County as well as a four day intensive for high school students interested in learning more about stage production. HFI is grateful to Local #19 I.A.T.S. E for their assistance in introducing and teaching Baltimore students about this potential career option. Camp Hippodrome is about giving children the opportunity to learn about all aspects of live theater. We have a lot of fun along the way.
